Simulated Trading Is Not Real Trading
PaperTrade Academy is a simulation environment for education. No real capital is placed at risk on this platform, but habits, expectations, and confidence developed in simulation can still influence real-world decisions.
Trading Involves Risk of Loss
Real-world trading and investing involve substantial risk, including the risk of partial or total loss of principal. Participation in simulated trading does not remove or reduce those risks when real money is involved.
Simulation Success Does Not Guarantee Real-World Success
Strong simulated performance does not predict live trading performance. Real trading outcomes are affected by execution quality, slippage, liquidity constraints, transaction costs, and psychological pressure that are not fully replicated in simulation.
Market Volatility
Financial markets can move rapidly and unpredictably due to macroeconomic events, earnings, geopolitical developments, liquidity shifts, and market sentiment. Simulation data and modeled fills may not reflect all real-time volatility dynamics, and some data may be delayed by up to approximately 15 minutes.
Behavioral Risks
Simulated environments can create behavioral distortions, including overconfidence after short-term gains, underestimation of downside risk, and normalized risk-taking because no real capital is at stake.
Gamified features, including leaderboards, streaks, rankings, and achievements, are designed for engagement and learning support. They are not indicators of probable real trading outcomes and should not be interpreted as evidence of future success.

PaperTrade Academy makes no representation or warranty that use of the Service will produce profitable results, reduce losses, or improve your live trading performance. Past simulated performance is not indicative of future real-world results.
