Last updated: April 2026
1. Overview and Legal Basis
PaperTrade Academy respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), including 17 U.S.C. 512. As an online service provider, we respond to valid copyright infringement notices and may qualify for applicable safe harbor protections under 17 U.S.C. 512(c).
2. Scope of User-Generated Content
This policy applies to content created, posted, or transmitted by users through the Service, including usernames, avatars, profile content, posts, comments, educational submissions, and other uploaded or shared materials made available through platform features.
Users are solely responsible for the content they submit. PaperTrade Academy does not claim ownership of user-generated content and does not pre-screen all submissions.
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA Notice)
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA notice under 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3). To be effective, your notice must include all elements listed in 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3)(A)(i) through (vi):
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (for example, URL or specific in-product location).
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address (or equivalent contact information).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right allegedly infringed.
- A physical or electronic signature of the complaining party.
Notices missing required elements may be rejected or may not be processed.
4. Submission Method for Notices

5. Designated DMCA Agent
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(2), service providers seeking safe harbor should designate and maintain an agent for receipt of infringement notices.
- Agent title: DMCA Agent, PaperTrade Academy
- Email: dmca@papertradeacademy.com
- Address: 2261 Market Street #103622, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States
We maintain designated agent registration with the U.S. Copyright Office as required.
6. Takedown Procedure
Upon receiving a facially valid notice, we review it in good faith and may remove or disable access to the identified material expeditiously as contemplated by 17 U.S.C. 512(c). Where appropriate, we notify the affected user that access to the material has been removed or disabled.
7. Counter-Notification Process
If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. 512(g)(3). A valid counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed or disabled material and the location where it appeared before removal or disablement.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement consenting to jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your judicial district (or, if outside the United States, for any judicial district where we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.
8. Restoration of Content
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material according to 17 U.S.C. 512(g)(2)(C) after not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days from forwarding the counter-notice, unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
9. Repeat Infringer Policy
Consistent with 17 U.S.C. 512(i)(1)(A), PaperTrade Academy adopts and reasonably implements a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat copyright infringers.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated violations and apply platform discretion in determining whether a user is a repeat infringer based on available evidence and conduct history.
10. Misrepresentation Warning
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.
11. No Independent Verification Obligation
PaperTrade Academy does not undertake an obligation to proactively monitor all user-generated content for infringement. We act on valid notices and related counter-notices in accordance with applicable law.
12. Reservation of Rights
We reserve the right, in our discretion and consistent with law, to remove content, disable access, refuse incomplete notices, and suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice where appropriate.
