Acceptable Use / Community Guidelines

1. Overview
These Acceptable Use / Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) govern your use of PaperTrade Academy and apply to all accounts, profile content, group interactions, competition participation, and educational feature usage.
These Guidelines are part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. Violations may result in enforcement action, including warnings, suspensions, and permanent account bans.
2. Prohibited Conduct
2.1 Cheating and Platform Manipulation
- Using bots, scripts, automation, or coordinated accounts to inflate simulated performance or manipulate leaderboard standings.
- Exploiting bugs, simulator glitches, or unintended platform mechanics for competitive advantage rather than reporting them.
- Colluding with others to artificially move rankings or competition outcomes.
- Creating or operating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage.
- Engaging in wash trading, circular trading, or other simulated market manipulation that distorts platform metrics.
- Submitting false, fabricated, or intentionally misleading data to Service features.
2.2 Harassment, Abuse, and Harmful Behavior
- Threatening, intimidating, stalking, or harassing any user, educator, or PaperTrade Academy team member.
- Using hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language targeting protected characteristics.
- Publishing defamatory, obscene, or degrading content about individuals.
- Sharing another person’s private information without consent (doxxing).
- Coordinating harassment campaigns or pile-ons against individuals or groups.
- Creating a hostile environment in classroom, group, or community features.
2.3 Impersonation and Identity Fraud
- Impersonating another user, educator, financial professional, or PaperTrade Academy representative.
- Creating accounts with false, misleading, or deceptive identity information.
- Misrepresenting affiliation with any university, employer, institution, or organization.
- Using third-party trademarks, logos, or insignia without authorization, including in profile or group content.
- Using names, handles, or profile content designed to deceive others about identity.
2.4 Misuse of Educational Tools and Content
- Reproducing, redistributing, or publishing lesson materials, quiz items, or proprietary educational content outside the Service without written permission.
- Using educational tools or curriculum content for commercial exploitation without prior written consent.
- Obtaining quiz answers, lesson progress outcomes, or competition entries through unauthorized means.
- Misrepresenting simulated achievements or platform performance in real-world contexts in ways likely to deceive third parties.
3. Content Standards
All user-submitted content, including usernames, display names, bios, group names, posts, and other profile or community content, must:
- Be accurate and not intentionally misleading.
- Comply with applicable law, including laws relating to harassment, defamation, privacy, and intellectual property.
- Not solicit real-money investments, promote pump-and-dump activity, or advertise unauthorized financial products.
- Not contain sexual content involving minors.
- Not constitute spam or unsolicited commercial communications.
- Not link to malware, phishing pages, or other harmful content.
4. Enforcement Actions
4.1 Warnings
For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a written warning by email or in-app notice describing the relevant conduct and applicable Guideline section.
4.2 Suspensions
For repeated or more serious violations, we may apply temporary suspensions. Suspension periods may range from 24 hours to 90 days depending on severity, recurrence, and platform impact.
4.3 Permanent Bans
We may permanently ban accounts for severe or persistent violations. Immediate bans may be imposed without prior warning for conduct such as:
- Coordinated cheating or collusion that materially undermines competition integrity.
- Severe threats, abuse, or harassment against any individual.
- Sexual content involving minors.
- Unauthorized access attempts against PaperTrade Academy systems or other users’ accounts.
We reserve the right to report serious violations to law enforcement where appropriate.
4.4 Additional Measures
In addition to account-level actions, we may remove or edit violating content, void competition entries or rankings obtained through prohibited conduct, and restrict access to specific features.
4.5 Appeals
To appeal an enforcement action, contact support@papertradeacademy.com within 30 days and include relevant context. We review appeals in good faith, and our post-review determination is final.
5. Reporting Violations
Reports may be submitted to support@papertradeacademy.com with relevant usernames, timestamps, and supporting details. We review reports and take action where appropriate, but we are not obligated to disclose enforcement outcomes.
6. Relationship to Terms of Service
These Guidelines are incorporated into and form part of the Terms of Service. Conduct that violates these Guidelines may also violate the Terms of Service and may be subject to any remedy available under those Terms. If there is a conflict, the Terms of Service control.
